PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ("TERMS") CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING AN ACCOUNT OR USING THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY GREAT NORTH LOTTO. BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS.

1. Introduction and General Provisions

1.1. The Service: Great North Lotto ("we", "us", "our") operates the website located at greatnorth-lotto.com (the "Site"), offering online lottery brokerage and betting services to eligible customers.

1.2. Operator: The Site is operated by Great North Lotto Canada Inc., a company incorporated under the laws of Canada, with its registered office in Toronto, Ontario.

1.3. Amendments: We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified to you via email or a prominent notice on the Site. Continued use of the Service after such notification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Eligibility and Registration

2.1. Age Requirement: You must be at least 19 years of age to register and play. Attempting to gamble while under the age of 19 is an offense. We reserve the right to request proof of age at any stage.

2.2. Residency: The Service is strictly limited to residents of Canada who are physically located within a province or territory where such services are not prohibited by law at the time of play.

2.3. Account Verification (KYC): To comply with Canadian Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, we must verify your identity. You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information regarding your identity, address, and payment details.

2.4. One Account Policy: You are permitted to open only one account. Duplicate accounts will be closed, and any associated winnings may be voided.

3. Deposits and Funds

3.1. Currency: All transactions are conducted in Canadian Dollars (CAD).

3.2. Source of Funds: You confirm that all funds deposited into your Account are not derived from any illegal activity. We reserve the right to report suspicious transactions to the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC).

3.3. No Interest: Funds held in your Great North Lotto wallet do not accrue interest.

3.4. Withdrawals: Withdrawals will only be processed to a verified bank account held in your name. We may conduct additional security checks for withdrawals exceeding $1,000.

4. Purchasing Tickets and Game Rules

4.1. Ticket Sales: A ticket is deemed purchased only when it has been recorded in our central computer system and the "Transaction Confirmed" message has been displayed. An email acknowledgment is not a guarantee of a valid entry if the server record differs.

4.2. Cut-Off Times: Ticket sales for a specific draw close at 7:30 PM (EST) on the day of the draw. Purchases attempted after this time will automatically be entered into the next available draw.

4.3. All Sales Final: Once a ticket has been purchased and the transaction confirmed, it cannot be cancelled, refunded, or modified by the player.

4.4. System Errors: In the event of a discrepancy between the numbers you believe you selected and the numbers stored in our central database, the database record shall prevail.

5. Draws and Results

5.1. Draw Mechanics: Draws are conducted using certified mechanical ball machines or accredited Random Number Generators (RNG), witnessed by independent auditors.

5.2. Official Results: The results published on the Site are for information purposes. In the event of a discrepancy between the Site display and the official draw records held by the regulator, the official records shall govern.

6. Prizes and Claims

6.1. Prize Categories:

• Minor Prizes (Under $1,000): Automatically credited to your Player Account immediately following verification of results.
• Mid-Tier Prizes ($1,000 - $24,999.99): Credited to your Account but may be subject to a manual audit before withdrawal is permitted.
• Major Prizes / Jackpots ($25,000+): Must be claimed in person or via a specialized secure process. You will be contacted by our VIP Support team.

6.2. Claim Period: All prizes must be claimed within twelve (12) months of the draw date. Unclaimed prizes after this period are forfeited and redistributed to the prize pool or charity as per provincial regulations.

6.3. Taxation: Under current Canadian law, lottery winnings are generally not taxable for Canadian residents. However, you are solely responsible for any tax implications in your specific jurisdiction.

7. Responsible Gaming

7.1. We are committed to providing a safe environment. We offer the following tools:

• Deposit Limits: Set daily, weekly, or monthly caps on your spending.
• Self-Exclusion: You may voluntarily lock your account for a period ranging from 6 months to 5 years. This action is irreversible.
• Reality Checks: Automated pop-ups reminding you of how long you have been playing.

8. Prohibited Activities

8.1. You agree not to:

1. Use the Site for any commercial purpose or on behalf of another person.
2. Engage in any fraudulent activity, including the use of stolen credit cards.
3. Attempt to manipulate the software, RNG, or website code.
4. Abuse or harass our customer support staff.

Breach of these rules will result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of funds.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Great North Lotto makes no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9.2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Great North Lotto shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Site, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

10. Governing Law

10.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Toronto, Ontario.
